Strange one that, could be a typo I guess? Dunno though, never heard of a 948cc A series (unless it had been overbored and re-registered with the correct CC listed)???

According to Guessworks engine capacity guide HERE it could be a 948cc with a longer stroke crank (standard bore but with a 998 crank(if it would fit the journals etc)).

More likely to be a typo though...

Only way to realy check is to take the head off and measure the bore and stroke.

Mmmmmmmm, Getting very odd this, I cant see it being a overbore as it hasnt been modded in anyway? But the vehicle description reads Morris Minor?

But it was sold to me with this pic.....

The A-H Sprite and MG-Midget both came with 948cc a-series engines in certain years. I think certain Morris Minors did also. I didn't think there was a transverse 948cc a-series engine.

More than likely a typo, but could have had a new crank fitted or different engine fitted then the log book redone???

It couldn't be the wrong log book could it (have you checked that numbers etc match) odd that it says Morris Minor and not Morris Mini or Mini Minor???

The number plates and chassis tag were not fitted to the shell but they do match.
I have tried the RAC vehicle data search and it doesnt register anything but i have had the new type logbook with it .
