If its a city then its a 998 right?

If your going to get a stage 2 head, then pay the small amount extra and get a stage 3 if you can afford it.

SU carb kit, what do you mean? The carb you have on there will be ok, will just need a good session on the rolling road to get set up after you do all the engine mods.

Manifold sounds ok.

Duplex timing set, no real need for it unless you are fitting a new cam and even then they are not essential to have the double row type.

Plugs and leads are always a wise idea to keep in good shape.

New rad, is your old one leaking or not working properly? I had a large spec 1380 with a standard cooling system with no probs, so maybe you don't need to have a new rad just for the sake of it, unless it is broken.
The fan, whats wrong with a standard one, i know they sap power but at most its around 1hp and if your not racing then that 1hp really isn't that important.

Head gasket will need replacing when you fit your new head, always fit the correct gasket - it should be the one that goes with that size head, eg. a 998 head has a 998 gasket, but if you fit a 1275 head to a 998 block then you use a 1275 gasket because its a 1275 head.
So if you are fitting a moddified 998 head, then just use a normal 998 gasket.

Roller rockers, now your talking. They can have the same affect as a mild cam just on their own and are a big improvement in performance. If your running a 998 then don't go for anything bigger than 1.3:1 ratio anything else with give too much lift and loose power and may cause other problems like valve to block clearance issues, etc.
If its a 1275 you've got then nothing bigger than 1.5:1 ratio.

I would add a decent air filter to your list.
There are lots of other things you can do, but it all depends on how for you are prepared to go and your budget.

As Blue says, but IMO, it's not work going past a stg 1 kit on a 998... by the time you've added roller rockers new cam, new head etc... you'd be better off fitting a 1275...

If you're worried about the insurance costs of the 1275, don't even bother putting a stage anything head on your car !
