What could cause my mini's heater to not blow any hot air. I have been told an air lock could be the problem, any other possibilities? :w00t:

this might sound silly but could it be that the heater is not plumbed in?

Thats not daft at all. There was a time when i thought that was the choke!

Then i realised that fuel injected cars don't have one! :w00t:

No i havent, but i have flushed the system.

Is it possible that that could be the problem? :w00t:

Fairly easy job, haven't done it myself, so I'll pop off and try and find an old thread that explains how....

This and this should explain how to flush the heater matrix.

Dont know whats up with mine either, but my heater dosent work.
Thing is, Ive got a blowing exhaust manifold, Need heater fixing, AND need to build a trailer.

I work Full time (8.30am - 7pm) VERY long hours.

Anyway, As ive got 2 minis, (One for salvage) Im going to nick the heater out of that one.

Also I need to change the thermostat anyway. is it based under that metal bracket thing on the engine block Where the upper rad Hose goes into?
