took carb needle out today, its got a wear a tear ridge on it that shouldn't be there.
Will it make any difference to the running of my hif 44, 1991 cooper(standard).
Or should i replace the needle asap?
If so, anyone give me a link to the exact needle need?
Thanks all in advance.

Well if it was running Ok you might as well keep it until you rolling road it. If you just change it for another one, it may give you a worse set up than to begin with.
You could also reprofile a needle. Its a dark art but you can get it spot on with the aid of a Lambada sensor.

HS & HIF needles are designed to wear, and it's also unlikely that a ridge (unless it is along the length of the needle ) will form naturally...
It will not hamper the performance of your carb, but may make you mixture a little richer than std..
Your options are, buy a replacement needle ( same code ) from Burlen, and replace it, you car will still need tuning.. but it's also very likely that you will also need a new jet which will require a carb service kit, also available from Burlen.
