turbo's are cack, its forced induction and the a series isnt made for that sorta stuff, y go to the expence of a turbo and strong enuf box for it, when you can get a bigger engine and tweak it propperly!

I can see I'm not going to convince anyone about turbos. But if they're good enough for WRC cars, indy cars, F1(old) etc. then they're good enough for me. The box is easy strong enough if it's in good nick. So what if the A-series wasn't designed for a turbo, was any engine? An engine is an engine, with a bit of thought it can be made to do anything.

As for expense, well I payed £150 for a good turbo with all the carb and manifolds. I reckon a good Webber will cost that.

I guess you're either a turbo man or not.

alot of people are talking about a 1.6 vtec but theres alot of work involved with that. if you are going to all that hastle why not go for a 2.0 16v out of a astra or even a calibra turbo.

that amount of power in a mini would put a :) on any ones face
