I have recently bought a used "Z Cars" front sub. There are a few parts that I need to identify there purpose.

Firstly there is what looks like an engine stabliser, it has a bushed ring at one end and a rod end at the other.

Secondly there are two pieces of hexagon bar taped to the back rail, they look as though they could be steering rod extensions.

Lastly there are two vertical bars welded between the upper and lower rear rails,. these have holes drilled in them which look about the right size and centres to bolt the steering rack to, is this correct?

Any help would be much appreciated,

I would agree engine stabiliser

"Secondly there are two pieces of hexagon bar taped to the back rail, they look as though they could be steering rod extensions."
I think they are something to do with the A series engine mounts, I didn't have anything like that with the bike engined version I had

Lately Z cars have been mounting the steering rack to the tube frame in an effort to remove bump steer

Chris or Richard from ZCars are on this forum fairly regularly, so they should be able to confirm or not my answers

Cheers
David

Hi Further to awnsers from David i can confirm that firstly yes the bush and rosejoinmt is top engine steady, The 2 bits of hex bar are rideheight adjusters and you will need rosejoints which i can supply no problem. And finally the Steering rack does mount to the subframe so you will need to remove the original mounts before trying to mount new one. Any questions please feel free to Contact me on 01964 527725 Thanks Richard

David & Richard
Thanks for the information, Richard I will give you a ring tomorrow just to clarify about the ride height adjusters.

Thanks again

Stewart
