Mini initially passed the mot but he had to fail due to a local garage giving me the wrong info about the mini not needing a cat so for anyone doing a c20xe mini MAKE SURE U PUT A CAT ON
also some ******* tryed to out run me in a corolla...so left him behind....
quick vid on the way to the MOT station..

spend a couple of hours in the garage chopping my flexi off to fit a cat
so got home fitted the cat took it back and now got 12 months MOT also taxed it today

Looking good Cooper_mark

What year is your mini. I thought is was done off which ever was older, engine or car?

I was hoping to see the corrolla you left behind in your video. I bet he got a bit of a shock.

Why would it have to have a cat fitted? Because the vehicle was originally fitted with one? Surely it'll make no difference as it doesn't have to pass cat-based emmissions levels. It is as said above, tested to whichever is oldest, vehicle or engine.

the engine is from a 92 calibra and the car is a 1998 and because both was fitted with a cat then a cat has to be fitted

Yeah that makes sense. I didn't realise that your mini was so new.

My 87 city E should be fine then without a cat.
