finally got off my ass and decided to get some work done on the mini...
trial fitted my front end......



then started cutting the lights out...


not to sure how the front attaches.....ok the 2 bolts thro the front

been looking at joels build and all i can see is here...plate across a panel to wings

done abit on mine today.......something don't seen rite tho..
trimmed this from my group 5 euro arches....


so i would have this.....

when sitting the arches into place they don't seem to sit on or near the lip in the front panel as u can see here...they look like their sitting to high....would u agree...


do i have to pin it whrere it meets the drip rail...???

right think it's about time for me to update...........:p
after the hassle i've had with my arches i've decided to get some more
brought some sportpack replica's.......u know the rubbery 1's was an rite bargain so got them..

thanx to a fellow member......thnx aband...got me drive shafts made....
just need a lick of paint..

also got me some H/D tie bars.......thnx to le1ght.....
was going to chop them and put rose joints on.....or shall i just put some tuffer rubbers on instead......

and today decided to paint my calipers a nice RED
here's what they looked like after the 1st coat....

just not sure what to do about the H/D tie bars.was going to chop and put a rose joint on the end but found these harder tie bars bushes from MRA mini's...thro ebay

managed to get 5 minutes peace and got my shafts painted today after the MAD EASTER EGG HUNT...just need now to assemble the CV's ..also received my m6 dome headed bolts and nuts yesterday so should be able to mount the front end
i'm just trying to get bits done day by day so i don't loose heart again...

apart from painting the shafts & calipers....bolted the calipers on and flexi hoses
made a couple of brakets
couple to mount the flexi pipes not yet fitted
1 to mount the exspansion bottle
2 mounts for the radiator
2 mounts for the front also couple of side plates so now the front end is bolted up rad is in but only about 90% plumbed in
also been trying to get some painting done on the engine

just a small update.....yes i know.....yawn..

still *peeing* about with wheel arches.....now on my 3rd set......:D:rolleyes:

update time....
rite sorted my arches out now...thnx to mikeR33...gave me his old arches to have a play with...
i split the arches and took 15mm out and re fibreglass them.
this is how they turned out...i'm pretty pleased with them...




managed to sort my wiring out and all is working now...just need to put my lights/indicators in....

also this is how i've done my rad fan switch....



spent yesterday and today assembling my tie bars and rose joints for my bottom arms



now this is how it is basically looking......not that it's changed much...

What subframe did you use?
