Car is making a horrible noise. Its blowing from the exhaust manifold. Dont know wheather its cracked or what. But by the looks of it. I think its time for a new one anyway. and While im at it, I want to replace the Inlet manifold too.

So, Ive got a 1985 Mini Mayfair With a K&N Filter and A RC40 Back box. How much am I looking at for a WHOLE new exhaust system (Side exit, because im gettin a towbar) and an inlet manifold (Maniflow or somthing)

Cheers

Also, How hard is it to fit? not an engine out job is it?

why dont you just go for a stage one kit. this will give you the new exhaust, manifold and inlet manifold and nice healthy power boost.

Not sure whether what engine you have but you get the idea.

No you don't need to take then engine out to fit the towbar

Ooops... neither for fitting the LCB or whatever manifold you decide upon, and inlet manifold..

Are you sticking with the 998 for a while ??

Money and time say I need to stick with a 998.

If I could get someone to fit me a 1275 and get it running in a weekend. Id pay them. But for now, looks like I gota keep the 998.

Ive got another mini with a manifold on, Not sure wheather it would be better just to take the manifold off that. Or wheather it would be easier just to replace it with a new one.

My car also has a complete straight through system.

It has the downpipes, And then one Straight pipe to the back where I just have a small backbox. It dosent ahve that extra silencer thingey.

Best bet is to get a new one.

Stage one is probably the way to go, make sure that you get a new manifold gasket!

It doesn't matter if you put the extra silencer back in or not but i think you can get a stage 1 kit with a single box exhaust system
