Just been searching on google for mini stuff and came across this;

http://minipartsuk.c...t-us-344-0.html

Miniparts UK is a new established company, specialising in Classic Mini parts and accessories. We range from Mini alloy wheels, genuine Cobra seats, Mini shock absorbers and many more Minispares. We try to keep our Minisparts prices the cheapest along the line comparing to all other classic Mini specialists.

I knew I had seen them pictures on the site before on Huddersfield Spares site so I checked the contact information and its exactly in the same place.

http://www.minispare....co.uk/contact/

That looks a bit fishy to me, anyone have information about it?

Very dodgy!!!! I'd be wary about buying anything from either company seeing that. Not found anything online about Huddersfield (Minispares) going bust but that makes it even more questionable having a second company, selling the same product and running from the same address.

I wondered if it was them trying to make a nation-wide website for spares so it doesn't appear to be just Huddersfield but it seems odd that they've not put anything about it on their original website...unless they're in the process of transferring it all and will re-launch with a new name? Again it seems strange that it's been kept so quiet.

i'm not suggesting that this is the case for huddersfield spares but...

there was this company down in cambridgeshire, that screwed me over...
then i sued them ..and i won...
but they were too clever to be done by that..so they declared that they 'ceased trading' and packed up and left...
then the word on the street has it that they are trading under a different name at an address on the SAME ROAD...
...well...again, i'd like to clarify that i'm not suggesting this is the case for huddersfield spares...
i guess it is possible they just wanted to convey a new image for the company...as someone mentioned earlier...

I must say that any dealings I've had with Huddersfield have been superb. I'm not sure what this is all about, but I've bought quite a few things off Huddersfield and they've always been extrememly helpful and efficient. It could be that the 2 (or more... don't know) partners in business have split and one has formed the new business to overtake the existing Huddersfield?? Don;t know, just a theory...

Miniparts UK is a new established company

Isn't that sentence a bit contradictory? :geek:

Yes VAT is fixed not by the seller but by the government because it's a tax, so if they're charging more than 15% VAT (17.5% after Jan 1st) then I'm pretty sure they're doing something illegal.

I've only ever bought from them once and didn't have a problem, although the parcel shelf mat I got only covered about 70% of the shelf :dontgetit:

Saying that, I've heard a hell of a lot of bad things about them, not just from people on here.
