i am finally got to the home stretch of repairing my car but know i have hit yet another hurdle. i have wired all the ignition and it is correct but when i turn the key i just hear a clunk and thats it.

i really need some (more) help here if some one fancies coming to help me beer tokens are on offer.

mine did that it it was the battery was flat
and another time it was shorting out and sparking onto the body

as ollie said could just be a duff battery, if its not what type starter you got? have you tried giving it a tap ?
