Hi yer, I've just bought a new mini equinox. However when it came to driving in the dark i noticed a few things with my head lights. When the dipped lights are on the angel eyes turn on and then the main lights turn on 3 seconds later. when main beam is on all is normal. When full beam is on the drivers side light turns off. Is this just an electrical problem or is it the actual lights?

Is it the newer modle with the 24 fuse fusebox. If it is then there is a fuse for each headlight. Might be that the fuse for the drivers headlight is buggered.

Sounds like wiring to me though. Could be the switch gear, Could be the conections. Could even be knackered bulbs.

Do you have another set of Head lights to test it with?

equinox is a late spi. it still have the 4 fuses on the bulk head and thats about it.

it sounds like a short somewhere. take the angle eyes out and check the wiring behind the light as the side light loom has to be split to power the 2 bulbs this maybe a bit dodgy. then trace the wiring and look for splits or other faults if thats ok.

i do have the original headlights. Although I'm thinking about getting some halogen lights. I was driving down an unlit due carrage way this evening and couldn't see the road very well and was all over the place. Didn't help when being blinded by cars behind me.

nah MF still seesm to be cool, but i have many hours on the again and MF will only occupy me for so long untill im refreshing the site every min to find new posts to reply to, so im gonna put my knowledge to good back on here again, (aint been on for a while,)
