ok here's the problem that's haunting me.....i just got my carb and put it on my motor and i was trying to set it up. firstly i know that i don't have the proper needle for it . i need BDK and the closest one i got at the moment is BDJ and for some reason i'm having a problem getting spark to my #1 plug. i checked the plug and i double checked the plugwire to make sure that it's on the dizzy right and i'll have spark again but i'll lose it again after the motor runs for about 30 sec. the points are brand new and properly gaped. so what could it be?
spark???

sounds like you either have a problem with your dizzy cap, or with the lead, try changing the lead, and see what happens. swap say 1 with 2 or if you have a spare lead put that on

i swaped the leads around to see if the leads were the problem but they're fine. the cap is new an i couldn't see any cracks. i'm going to get a new rotor and i might just get a new cap while i'm there....
