hi there,
can anyone out there please tell me what size the extra head bolt is on a cooper s mk 1 , :tongue: only it is bigger diameter than the rest of the studs.

Normally you have one standard size and the other (by the therm housing?) is a smaller bolt rather than a stud.

As BlueMini said, the one by the heater valve is the "same size" as the rest and should be 3/8" The one by the thermostat is smaller and should be 5/16". If you or a previous owner has fitted the stud kit from Mini Spares, they chose to use a 3/8" stud/bolt for the position next to the thermostat housing... but that's not the standard configuration.
