has the block got ribs? is the dizzy held in with a clamp with one bolt or two?

i dont think it is ribbed, but the rear of the engien has no chest covers?? am unsure about the disibutor tho.

Defintely not an MG Metro.... or infact any metro...

It's pre A+ probably allegro or similar in origin.

well i have been comparing it with mg metro engines and it seems be exactly the same and i suspose it woudl explain the power it has lol, but it has only ever been painted 1 color wich is red and it has the mg rocker cover aswell ( ano that could have been just put on lol) sooo am unsure lol!

the only other number i have with 6 is
12H610 or 635 Innocenti Cooper 64 bhp
12H/-/ 1275 Allegro, or Austin 1300

hi all,

i have 1 question,

i m currently running on a series engine 1000cc

think of swapping the engine so i need opinion 1.0 a + vs 1.3 a+ stock engine
want to use it for my daily drive.

Well unless im looking in totally the wrong place I cant seem to find an engine number anywhere on mine, Any other ways to Identify it easily?

Hi,
Does anyone know where the engine code 12HL25 is from I was told when i bought the car it was a metro engine but i can't find any info on this number anywhere! Thank you! biggrin.gif
