A Series engine 1544 cc , built by Freeway Motorsport in 1990. They were a leading tuning company in the early nineties - a forerunner of Minispeed and Minipower (also the winner of ‘Fastest Mini In The World’ run at the 35th anniversary do in 1994)

I have lots of paperwork relating to the vehicle. Five speed gearbox bought in 1995. History shows engine has covered about 1200 miles, gearbox considerably less:-

Titan roller rockers

Ported and polished head

Competition cam – not stripped to check which sort

Double valve springs

30 mil Exhaust valves 35 mil inlet.

Engine bored to 73.5 with Omega forged pistons

Turbo crank – believed stroked to give a stroke of 91 mil

Light flywheel, balanced.

Competition clutch.

Aldon distributor

Straight cut transfer gears

All mated to a five speed gearbox

Built by Freeway Motorsport

Runs well, seems to be in good nick.

Guess I should seperate the engine abd box - which seems a shame, they go well together.

What would be a sensible reserve should I put it on ebay

Regards,

Allen

Sounds like a very interesting engine.
Any chance you have any more info on the crank and the bearings used at all?
As 'Sprocket' has raised and as far as i understand getting that kind of stroke by machining that crank wouldn't be possible.
In this case i would say find as much information as you can on the parts used in the build and then it would probably worth placing an advert without a price to gauge interest first. If you then decide to auction through ebay you can notify the people that were interested so they know the auction is happening and you know that you have a few bidders and have an idea of what people are willing to pay. Couldn't really give you an estimate of value due to not seeing anything similar sell to compare it to.
Best of luck with your sale.
