ive had quotes for flipfront replacement scuttle and respraying for £600 - £900 from 3 different people, if its just a straight respray with no prep work required then ya could get it done for £400 if ya lucky

Did all the prep myself on mine- then had the completely bare shell etc primed inside and out and underneath, then every nook and cranny sprayed in 2 pack. Total cost was just shy of £1500 inc the dreaded VAT. The paint alone was over £400.
I had quotations of around £400 for the whole job- but this was in single pack synthetic paint, and having visited the place- well lets just say it didn't exactly fill me with confidence.
I still (rightly or wrongly) believe in the old addage "you get what you pay for".
If you're gonna be doing the prep work yourself, and removing bonnet, doors, bootlid etc. then consider the location as well 'because it takes a number of trips to cart the bits back and forth.
Whatever you decide, good luck with it.

Iv been quoted about 300 if i do most of the prep myself, however thats a quote off a mate who works in a spray shop so i think he's only charging me for the paint.

I still need to find a body shop that will help me with rust and a respray. hopefully fit a bodykit too. Everwhere in my area are accident repair body shops.
