After 4 years of on/off activity, (cutting, welding, grinding, breaking, remaking,......you get the picture), finally took the plunge and got the shell sprayed and the rollcage powder coated.
Reassembled and to say I'm happy with the result would be a understatement.
It's still far from finished but slowly getting there.
So had to show it off to you lot.

I wish, but no it's not a Z cars, I just don't have that sort of budget.
Anyway like I said, about 4 years ago my beloved mini was in need of improving, both in performance and looks.
Looked at the 'Z' kit and thought it was just what it needed......until I priced it all up
Then a plan was hatched....how difficult could it be!
I basically measured up the front subframe dimension, to get the bottom and top suspension arm position.
I added suspension turrents to locate the coilovers (using off the shelf mini coilover conversion kit, at both ends!)
Then modded a standard 6 point rollcage to carry the rear frame.
I've tried to use off the shelf parts where possible to aid the build.
I could ramble on forever about this project, so I'll stop now.
Like I said at the begining I just had to show it off.
