I have decided to start a thread on my Mini as it is turning into aa project rather than just a car thats needs a few things doing!!
I will post some pics in a bit.
Things done so far:
Replaced drivers side lower ball joint
Replaced discs and pads
Painted disc covers(gotta love hammerite)
Fixed main beam lights
Swapped seats over so they were on the right sides!!
Fitted larger accelerator pedal
Still to do:
Fix Fog Lamp
Replace passenger side wheel bearing
Replace outer sills and patch rusty floor panels
Anything else that surprises me on the way!!!

Took the rocker cover off today to put a new gasket on and found that the head is a 12G940 head. The numbers look a bit ground off but it is definitely one of them.
Were these unleaded heads or were they both??
Any ideas?

12G940 is a generic casting for the majority of 1275 heads, in use from the 60's all the way through to end of production I think.

the arches look decent on that black car.
Not really a fan of chrome arches but they suit it.

Fitted the whole of the exhaust today but it was blowing at this bit:
Any ideas what to do? or is it just a case of using lots of exhaust sealer paste?
I was gutted because i got the whole thing on but had to take it all off again!!

Err there is an exhaust paste that you put on the joints to stop them blowing, cant remember what its called to save my life though.
