Hi guys - I was wandering if anyone could help me value my mini - Its a Special (20anniversary) in the rose colour. It has the original interior, badges, stripes, wheels, 1100 engine etc with alot of service history and 71,000 miles.

About 2 years ago it was being used as a first car until a lorry pushed the mini sideways which then resulted in the car spinning backwards a hitting some kind of post at the back! Since then, it's sat on a driveway.

I'm not sure whether to repair it (due to the originality of it), use it for spares, or just sell as it is. Thing is, I don't have the space or time yet to break it, and my father and I don't really have the time to repair it (although we're fully capable as this is my dad's trade!) It would need rear panel & valance, both quarters have damage, drivers door, theres some damage to the front wing, the headlining has been removed (but i still have it) the interior is slightly damp, the rear subframe has been damaged slightly - maybe could be bent back?

The exhaust looks like it was new pre-accident (standard pea shooter of course) and there has been a repair patch to the drivers floor. otherwise it's not very rusty at all!!

Could any one help me decide on a value on the condition it is now as I'm thinking of selling it as is!

(The 12" wheels had to be put on due to one of the 10" wheels being destroyed...)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

current state £150

dont waste money restoring // trying to restore it

if you break for parts then you'll prob get £500+

the centre console is worth quite a bit if its in good condition................i know my friend off here 'rocket' has one for sale at £80

Absolutely.... it's beyond economical repair... I assume it's a non-recorded accident as I think most insurance firms would have cat "B"'ed that...

The shell is twisted, a new shell is the only answer and after the purchase of that and the cost of respary/graphics and refitting the vehicle you're probably looking in excess of 5k spend, and however good it is it'll never be worth that kind of money...

Break it for spares...

That's a shame. As said, probably not worth repairing that shell.. however, my friend has repaired worse, it's probably not 'twisted' as said, the rear quarter panels bow out surprisingly easily. Last one like that he did had been hit hard by a Transit van, same sort of damage.

thats the standard that I usually take away for free - the last breaker I bought was a 96 equinox with MOT and driveable for 250 - so I'd snap that person's arm off at the shoulder for 300.
