This is from the blue Haynes.

I am also curious about the cutoff year for the SPI ECU from single plug to dual plug.
It appears that the Haynes only shows the single plug for SPi.

What years are the single plug and dual plug SPis? I have a 94 with a single and the 95 (with 24 fuse box) has a single as well. Was the dual plug an older thing or for the later MPi?

It is my understanding that some SPi had dual plugs as well, perhaps this is a later implementation for the post 96 Spi export models.
I am hoping someone else who may be watching this thread knows the answer.

To my knowledge all MPi are dual plug.

Well, I will have to check the date on my brothers 95 to see how far in that year it was. Maybe just the 96's had the dual plug? I'm sure someone will chime in with the answer.

Thanks for clearing that up Sprocket, I know for future now that it's the same loom just with different fusing arrangements.

Dave.

Dual plugs were used 91>93 single plugs 93>. MPi uses a dual plug ECU but it is a physicaly different ECU altogether

I did not realize that the earlier 'blue" Haynes had as many references to 24 fuse box. There are a couple of illustrations, but no mention of it in the diagram section.

That information is not in the current "blue" version-Mini (69 - 01) Petrol up to X. Is the older version even still available? I can't find it on the Haynes site.
The old "pinkish-purple" verion is available, but no other intermediate volumes - Mini (59 - 69) up to H Classic Reprint.

Terry

I just found out that I have the 69-96 manual. We were using my brothers which is the 69-01. Havent really sat down and went page by page but at least thats one less thing to buy:-)

I'm john
Was wondering if you could help me with a bit of information?
I have an spi mini sidewalk, I was looking on the haynes manual wiring diagram at the ignition coil, manual says there should be a whiteblack cable and a brownpurple. The ignition coil on my mini has 4 cables coming from it, closest diagram on the haynes manual makes it look like a 1988 on carburettor model?? Any ideas? Thanks
