I'm in a bit of a predicament guys!

I've recently found out that my car was a Cat C write off in 2000. I've had the car checked out again by a mechanic, and what we have deduced is that the passenger side door was damaged and has been replaced, there is no sign of any new panels on the car and it is completely solid with all subframes and floorpan completely straight.

At the time the car was 10 years old and a replacement door would equate to an insurance write off, which is what the mechanics have told me.

I'm not sure whether this will affect the valuation of the car at all. As obviously I need to make the potential buyers aware of the history.

Will anyone be able to help me (again) regarding the valuation and what I should be asking for?

cheers

would still say ask for 2500 but look for offers a bit less

its worth what anyone is willing to pay, and that mini looks great to be honest.

yes it will affect its price..............most dealers will no longer be interested.

if u have picture evidence of what the repair was then that will help.

Unfortunately i have no evidence of repair. When you say it will affect price, what do you think it would be valued now? Other guys on the forum reckoned between 2.5-3 prior to awareness of cat c history.

Would I be optimistic to hope for £2000?
