Hey I thought it was funny! I'm an American (born and raised in Titusville, Pennsylvania...do a wiki search on it) and I can understand that some television programs over there can't be accurate for legal reasons. Maybe they couldn't get authorization to say "Austin Mini"? Did you notice the Mini logo was blacked out on the bonnet badge? Some TV shows don't allow product placement at all. This is apparently one of those cases.
Plus the Mini is so uncommon in the states that seeing one for the first time would be both comical and neat. I fully expect to get quite a few laughs while driving mine once I get back to the states.
Oh, and we didn't win WW2 single handedly. It was an Allied effort!!! We did help you guys fend off the Germans, but as a whole it wasn't just us that won the war. And the Ancient Greeks actually invented the first "Jet Engine".
