Hey there, new to the forum, have a '96 white mini sprite spi.
Basically im trying to achieve a sort of euro look with the car for the show season ahead. Currently have sportspack arches fitted with 13x7 deep dish superlights.
Car dosent really see big miles, try to keep it mint as possible and is mostly enjoyed during Summer and shows/runs etc
To the point then.... I've came across negative camber kits on mini sport and the likes, theyre rated 1.5 degrees and 2 degrees. Would this give a noticeable amount of camber?.... (and im considerin stretched tyres aswell.) or is this amount of camber very subtle and for handling reasons only.
(Inspiration for the look coming from euro mk2 golfs etc)
Car is also on Hi-Lo's.
Thanks

13" wheels you want .5 degree negative at the most and stretched tyres are dangerous

DUB styled mini would be interesting but not good for anything other than looks.
Unless you are going to do some seriouse modding and try puting it on airride. Dont know if its beed done before........ any one ?
Im not sure this would look good in my eyes, but owel your car have fun with horble ride and tire ware.

Robbie
tires were never designed to be stretched it isnt safe. infact it is VERRY UN SAFE!
I cannot stress how important it is to fit correct tires on to wheels. Im a tire fitter been in the business for some time now, I have stretched tires and its stupid and i hate doing it.

I dont like camber and stretch in the dub world, where i have been for the past 2 years, and i wouldnt advise it on a mini, remember its other peoples lives on the road you are putting at risk not just your own

Ok thanks for all the info
I dont really know much about stretched tyres at all, didnt think they would have been so dangerous when so many dubs are running them!!
Bit shocked there actually.
Its the fact that it hasnt been done that makes me want to do it, although after reading through here i'm thinkin there may be a reason that it hasnt been done

if your going to stretch anything i would say 10inch would be the safest as they have a nice big sidewall.

For a *ahem* 'euro' mini would you not be wanting to drop to smaller wheels rather than the biggest (standard) fit? ie. 10's not 13's? Same way the mk1/2 dubs wear 13/14 Ronals/ATS's etc.
On the plus side your mini looks really nice good work.

see the whole idea was just something we had thought of about 3 weeks ago. The idea kept growing on me.
I get what your saying about the smaller wheels but i had all wheels etc before the idea was thought of

lol could be cool but im gonna get adjusta ride into the back and get it lowered to match the front first. Then ill see where i end up with the camber/stretched idea.
I wont be changing completely mint 7x13 superlights that have only seen a few miles
