Mines low ,cambered,and im running 175 on a 8 inch rim, looks the nuts go large ! never had a problem.

If you dont want to go asbo with the stretch you can use a 195 on a 8 inch rim ,tiny little streach no probs what so ever !
My car is identical to the blue one pictured ,showing a 175 on a 8 inch rim ,with camber, if you dont like the look you need yer eyes tested ! and this has got a supercharged monster of an engine in it .

The other picture is of someone in this forum,with a 195 on a 8 inch rim tiny little streach .

So do it ,do some thing differant ,SICK of minis looking the same ,especially in the wheel tyre department.

I know people say that its dangerous ,and that its outside the tyre manufactures recommendations ,who cares when it looks this good and never presents a problem ? vw owners have been doing it for years ,bmw new cars even come out the showroom with streach??

....only problem is you might have a problem with a 7x13 inch finding a tyre to do the stretch ? get 8x13 wheels weeeeee

i love the look on golfs and other vdubs but i, not sure it'll suit a mini i have had both euro dubs and custom minis and was going to do this my self but i wouldn't run strech tyres on the road as it just goes against every i learnt when i was a mechanic plus slaming a mini that much you'll want air ride or atleast coil overs as it will brake you back on the smallest of bumps. personally i agree with the others only do this if its going to be a all out show car.

why a show car ? just do it and use it ? so what if its bumpy since when has a mini been comfy ? traction is secound to none ! slam it ,lean it ,stretch it .

so basically tyre stretching is making a tyre that is say 6inches wide, fit onto an 8 wide wheel? If so that does not sound very safe at all! If i had that done i wouldnt want to go more than 10mph round a corner, id be worried about the tyre popping away from the rim!

Your white mini looks great as it is, why do you want to change it?

nah its fine ! totally agree if its got lots and lots and lots of horse power ,ut a mini even with a highly tuned engine aint ganna be a problem . Just SICK of minis looking the same all the time ,especially when it comes to wheels and tyres .

I am not sure I like you constantly advising/egging on someone to do somethign renound to be dangerous on the pure grounds of looks. IMHO risking lives for the sake of a look is not exactly smart.

Just SICK of minis looking the same all the time ,especially when it comes to wheels and tyres .

best get used to closing your eyes then, id rather be the same and safe than look stupid (cool in somes' oppinion) and damgerious

also grip WILL be reduced, there no way you can even try arguing that especialy if your running rediculas camber
