hi me and my brother have just been given another car by a family friend, a pagent blue clubby estate. at the moment it is sat in a field and has been forthe last 9 years but looking at it it doesnt seem to be in too bad a condition there is no boot floor or petrol tank but the rear doors are solid and the interior is in perfect condition just a bit dusty with loads of cobwebs lol.all of the chrome work is there and the bumpers front and rear are looking to be almost perfect.

we will be picking it up some time soon and i will be able to have a closer look as soon as its out of that field lol

i have looked at the floors from the inside and had a tap arround and they dont seem too bad just a couple of patches here and there lol

the boot floor on the other hand is gonna need a full replacement pannel

i have also had the reg valued at between £800 and £1500 so i might transfer that and get some money to inject into this project lol

There are a number of panels which are not available for the estates, not sure if the floor pan is one of them...

Also to transfer the reg the car must have a valid current MOT, so at the moment the plate is worth squat :cheese:

But apart from that... Jammy git...

yeah i read that somewhere so i will have to get it motd then sell the plate to pay for the rest of the restoration which will be a rolling restoration while using it as our daily driver

i dont know if the floor is availible but my brother is a pannel beater so it wouldnt take too much for him to make one up

Just to look at it from another point of view. Is your friend trustworthy? No offence but it could have been stolen and dumped in the field. Does the history and ownership check out?

Other than that you very lucky!

Looking good. Its nice to read about a mini being saved rather than another having been crashed!

I hope you get it back on the road with few complications.

Oh yeah, you must call it Mel, lol. Awesome plate!

Jammy get!!

Jake Blues has just restored his clubbie estate - he had new floor panels so they are available anyway!! He's a member of the CER too & found useful parts & info from the site.

As jake is now on here more often than me (as I now have to work all day...... ), I'm sure he'll post on here soon.

my frield is trustworthy the car was his nans and was left to him when she passed away 9 years ago and he is more into his beetles and campers so it just sat in his field lol

the car has been in the same family for the whole life so i know that it is totally standard and un molested
