Because of the awsome power that my engine produces, I am getting clutch slip.
Seriously tho, if I put my foot down in 3rd or 4th, i get clutch slip. Since the engine build it has been doing this. I had to cut the old fly wheel off, so i am using another one. I put a new friction plate and diaphram in, admitadly they were only £25 for the set, but I have used them before with no problems.
I still have the diaphram off the old engine and the friction plate too, but the plate has been out in the damp for a couple of weeks so I guess its no good now? There are no markings on the preasure plate, so I dont know if its an uprated item or not.
Biting point is very high too, which might be contributing to the slippage.
Is there any way of making the clamping preasre harder, like maybe taking out one of the metal spring retainers off each set that you bolt thru to hold the back plate on?
Come on guys, help me out again... pleeeeeese

Adjust the clutch as per the manual.
As its slipping in 3rd & 4th I would suspect oil on the plate.
Is this a verto clutch?

I have a feelin that the old diaphram is a grey one, it was defo heavier on the foot than the one on there now. Its in my boot, so when I get a new fly wheel puller, I'll try it out.
