Have you fitted the tank strap with the securing bolt through the hole in the tank flange? the tank won't sit properly if you have. Ask me how I know

That stumped me when I moved my tank to replace the nearside rear damper. Eventually, I worked out that the hole in the flange of the fuel tank played no part in securing the strap to the boot floor.
