Hello,
Hit a problem today. went to remove hub nut, but biggest socket I've got is a 32mm. It's too small. What size socket do I need or is there a special tool?

Plus I need to remove old ball joints on metro hubs. What size spanner do I need to remove ball joints from the hub itself.

Hope someone can help,
Cheers Alastair :)

The front hub nuts are 1 5/16 inch. Mini ball jionts are 1 1/2 and you need a deep socket. No idea what size Metro ones are

I've just ordered both sockets I required. Found a good website/store through the British mini owners club site:
http://www.britishmi....uk/index1.html

Amongst many other good tool shops, I found Classic-Car-World:
http://www.ccw-tools.co.uk/

The site is a bit hard to navigate as you have to click on the thumbnails of some of the Sockets to find out it's exact application. IE: BMW 3 series or Austin Mini Rover.
But apart from that it is very good
