It would be a shame.
If it has gone down the pan at least he had a stab at it. he actually had the mini, had the engine and gave it ago. Unlike some of the real dreamers who never get off the "I want to do this" stage

Seen that site a few times, and seen some of the minis in the flesh. I always love seeing the Belgium monster. Apart from the red van, I haven't seen many of them for a while now.

its a load of balls isnt it, the sva/iva/bva thing. i think this country should follow suit to america where you can drive whatever the hell you want and build it how you want. the car shows over there are unbelievable compared to what we get over here.

That is very true, You could fit a 300hp engine into your car and leave it on drums that are semi seized but woe betie you if you fit a turbo box as standard fitment
but then having seen what some people think is safe and acceptable, for example

there is no reason why some one with skills like this can make their car pass a IVA test

it's only bodgers that do sub standard work that fear the test

What if the most qualified welder, fits a turbo bulkheadbox, stiffens the area, making it more secure and safe than standard. Absolutly perfect workmanship.

It would still fail the IVA yes?

If I ever fit anything like that im not telling anyone and I doubt most MOT testers will notice it's there.

Obviously this project is going to scream a highly modified vehicle and fair enough would pretty much be a custom car.

a proper welded in bulkhead box won't fail a IVA test

the rest of the car might if not brought up to scratch
