Yup it was very exciting. I was on the edge of my seat at the end of session 2 when Jenson was in the drop zone with 10 seconds to go! Hopefully we'l find some pace soon though. I think Jenson did his lap on the Hard tyre so wont have to pit so early as the front 2 rows

What do we all think will happen with that aerodynamic aid on the Mclarens? I dont see it being there by Australia, its a clever innovation, but the other teams didnt think of it so they will all complain. It doesnt breach the rules but will be twisted so it does.

As its driver operated I dont see the problem , charlie whiteing was more than happy for them to run with it , the other teams of course will *woman of ill repute* and moan.
Yeah, its not a moving aerodynamical part either, unlike the 2008 Rear wings, no problem there.

It didn't seem to do very much for them though so people will probably just forget about it. I suspect it will stay in use until there is a proper battle going on during a race with one of the McLarens fighting another car and apparently getting a boost from the special duct. After that there will be complaints, trials, court battle, and ultimately it will be banned. Real innovation always gets banned before it gets a chance to make a real difference. The steering brake McLaren used in '97 was the big thing that should have really taken off but didn't get a chance.
