hallow,

Just been royally done over by MED, talked on the phone about getting some machine work done on my engine this week, told them what I had and the spec I wanted, was told to come down at the end of the week as everything was fine and they'd measure all my items up. Drove for 2 hours to get there to be told very rudely and repeatedly that my business was not worth their time as it was only a couple of hundered pounds, not the thousands they are used to and that all my parts were inferior and not even worth using.

grr... very annoyed... is it just me?

the best form of advertising is word and mouth..

so one dissapointed customer equals 10 lost customers......Not doing thereseleves any favours

Stupid attitude...I'd write to the MD and see what he says.

Id be fuming! Thats the sort of half arsed arrogant attitude that eventually sends a company down the pan regardless of quality!

That is really shocking!!

Did you speak to the guy in charge there?

I had all my machining work there which was a couple hundred of quid which was about 500ish as I bought arp bolts etc and other stuff on top. Before that I had bought rockers off them as well.

I used emails to ask about things and only ever rang in when I had everything to ask about something which was missing and it arrived to me the next day.

Odd thing is we got talking about costs and I said it has been expensive for me and he said that's nothing compared to the builds which cost thousands....

I would ring in and ask for a justification as that is not on at all.

Sounds like they are starting to get ideas above their station. I've had good dealings with them but this is going back a few years now.

The last thing he said to me was 'bring your head in then, that'll be a laugh' and I just told him I wouldn't bother if he was taking the mick so I walked out. I wouldn't even know how to get to anyone incharge...

Not on at all, was it a young person or an older person?

I would still phone up and demand an explanation. Tell them that you know people who had had engines built there and have asked them if they had the mick taken out of them.

I thought MED was one of the good ones?!

thats disgraceful!! i also think you should either ring up or write to the md. if they rely on word of mouth then they have just lost 10-15 potential customers by you telling us your probs.
stuck up arrogant *illegitimate person*s lol.
do what you can to speak to the management.

Just write a letter addressed "Management"?

I work in retail myself so I know how people can be sometimes... but I'd done nothing wrong... wasted about £50 of petrol too...

Well I'm not buying from MED now, regardless of whether it was one employee or the company in general....

I think a discount is on the cards as an apology!
