I want to buy some heat resistant paint, and it has the heat rating on it, but I don't know what temperature the following reach:

- Calipers
- Drums
- Exhaust manifold
- Engine block

I use cellulose for all my hi temp stuff, its about £8 a litre and you can get it mixed in any coluor you like. Failing that, go to your local motor factors and pick up a tin of engne paint, but be warned - its horrid stuff to use, realy strings and gooy. Best thing to do is warm it in some hot water first.

i wouldn't recommend painting your exhaust manifold, as anything other than the really expensive stove enamaelling will burn off after a while, and then your manifold will look worse than if you hadn't painted it at all!
