Hi,
Im doing a flip front conversion and the round thing in the picture below was mounted on the front panel. What does it do and do i need to put it back on?
Also do the tear drop mounts need to go back on, if so do i mount them between the brace bars and the sub-frame?
Thanks

yes you do need the tear drop mounts they are what connect the front of the subframe to the valance.

I didn't think you used the teardrop mounts on a flipfront?! Especially not between the subframe and brace bars. You have to solid mount the tower mounts and floor mounts.

Yes the brace bars should be fixed directly to the subframe with no mounts.
Oh yes, and the other thing is indeed a horn and you will need it!

I guess there are a few other things that need mounting differently when doing a flip front too??? Do you need to extend any of the wiring for the lights etc to allow for the movement?Oh yes, and the other thing is indeed a horn and you will need it!

Most of it can be re-located without much trouble, like you may end up with a starter solenoid stuck to a brace bar if you use an old intertia starter.

I've heard the use of a caravan type socket to wire the headlights, but haven't looked more into this?

I was thinking that, I would use one of the aircraft multi-plugs we have at work for it I guess (they fit in my pocket soooo easy)!
