hey my indiactors wont flash unless i am doing over 20 mph in 3rd (i have no rev counter and it seems to be at a ceartain minimum revs), Can anyone help?
p.s i have also got hammerite stcuk to my skin and let it dry :saywhat: (moron)
any ideas

try changing the flasher can on the bulkhead

Try wire wool on the hammerite.

You will have red skin afterwards but it gets worse if you leave it.

A nail brush is a less painful option, although not as effective.

Could be your alternator dying or the fan belt loose or worn out. The output of a healthy alternator should be more or less constant (in terms of voltage) from about 1200 rpm engine speed upwards so the flasher should be getting the right voltage even at low speed. Unless you are running a dynamo rather than an alternator, as the output from a dynamo increases a lot as speed increases and in that case I would tend to think the flasher unit was faulty since it would mean it needed lots of volts to work.
How are other electrical things doing when the speed drops off?
