Got the 'daughter' a Safety Devices cage for Christmas. Luckily as she's not bad on the spanners, I only had to assist with advice and ratchet straps.

Well today me and my dad took the 998 out a drive to try top the battery up.. It didn't start last night, quick charge of the battery then it fired up no issues.
To be expected since its not been touched for 8 weeks!

The 1275 needs a rear wheel bearing(new item on the shelf) and two balljoints(will reshim these as they are under 2 years old.. The grease channels must be clogged as we can't get grease into them)

But other than that they're all good

Inner and outer CV gaiters replaced, track rod ends replaced, upper and lower ball joint rubbers renewed, new front discs and pads, oil and filter changed, and a lot of swearing thrown in for good measure!

Only in the interest of testing my windscreen washers of course.

Purchased some new wiper arms that arrived this morning, offered them up to the spindles to make sure they fitted and because they are spring loaded and I wasn't being careful. I put a f_____g big scratch on the paint work near the spindle right through to the primer! ... bas___rd!  Next job touching the scratch up ! grrrrrrrr

Went to tidy up a front wheelarch with a drop of stone chip before a bit of Dynax. Found this little bit of metal moth damage. Some previous person had filled it up with seam sealer.

I've done my first 'half' decent weld putting a little piece into the O/S A panel.

It's joggled behind with a half inch overlap, solid as a rock, all caused by the mud trapped inside the wheel arch!
