It's 26degrees in the garage so fetched cans of lager out the beer fridge and headed back to the garden!

Gawd knows how hot it was in mine with the sun beating down through a clear plastic roof   Went in and came out again but got a fresh MOT on the Commer Auto-Sleeper

Was gonna fit my soundproofing, but it was too hot so I sat in the paddling pool and drank beer.

Fuel pressure gauge arrived with the adaptor.
Plumbed it in and discovered im only running 2 psi of pressure after the fuel reg.
Hmmmmm thought it may have been more than that.
Oh well the car runs fine, picks up well so we will see when i take it to the mot next week.

Wife happened to be up early and outside as I started to back out of the garage and go to work. She was looking at me funny as I rev’d the gas so the engine would not stall after cold starting. I rolled down the window and said “cold engine” and she replied with “COLD?!?!” and started laughing… She does not understand my Mini love and certainly not used to an engine with a ‘choke’. Then here in Texas, it’s anything but cold. All she did was turn away laughing at me…. Driving to work in the Mini is a special treat for me….

Got the screens in

A mate can round to give me a hand, it was 83 degrees F outside so heaven knows what it was under the plastic roof - as well as diluted car wash the sweat from my brow acted as a lube to get the seals in

 

 

 

 

 

First time I've don it on a Mini, what a swine it is to get the locking strip in

Door mirrors, interior mirror, sun visors, little windscreen seal finishers, wipers and new group 2 arch extensions fitted. Running out of jobs now

Is yours the 1 that used to go to 3 Sisters....? Was 1 at the Retrobeutes meet a couple of months ago......

Stripping everything out my engine bay the past two days. Making good progress too.

 

But right now.. it's beer o'clock!

It's on the floor  Drive shafts nuts torqued up, bonnet on, grille on, front number plate on.

 

Wheels look a bit lost in the arches
