The heater pipes, 1 gets hot-ish the other is barely warm..... which usually indicates an airlock... but I guarantee that there isnt...

I was going to have a play around with it again today but it started raining ruddy ice so decided to talk to the wife instead.... I'll have a play again tomorrow as I need it for Monday morning, otherwise it'll get a tad cold on me journey LOL

I put an ebay bleed valve on the hose from the sandwich plate on the thermostat to the heater pipes on the bulkhead, as I couldn't get my MPi heater to get warm after fitting the A+ engine, managed to get loads of air out that way. (At the highest point)

(Usually use the hosepipe on the heater pipes for air, and no cap on the rad to bleed, but had no luck)

What I do is disconnect the heater pipes from the heater valve, fill the eater pipes coolant (mixed or straight) so the coolant comes out the other one. Connect both back up then fill the rest of the system.

I took out the rear subframe - original and 25 years old or more - to find it was in good nick. I need to spot weld a cone seat back in and all will be fine... until I sheared a rear trunion stud. One side, the nut just came off normally, the other side - well I guess that's why it's called a breaker bar! :ohno:

Decided to change the cheap steering lowering bracket for one of the lovely DSN ones
The shear bolts into the dash decided to put up a grand fight which lasted a couple of hours
However victory was mine

Well I now have heat into me Mini...... Thank *******...!!

I flushed the system through, backwards, then forwards then back again. But also did it with the engine running.... seems its done the trick....

Just waiting on A Series Spares now to send me something so I can put my Mini back together again. Its useable at the moment but had to do some alterations and remove the front rollcage.....

I picked up a grommet from the floor, and tried not to hear my mini's confused  list of demands, as if I'm going to be boss.

Will do, just trying to get it done somewhere that I want, not one of the places that suits them.

Mini is finished at the panel beaters after a tidy up and respray.

Got to organise collection and then some finishing touches and a new heart.

Your cars looking nice, you don't see many cars in their original 70's bl colours anymore. Is that limeflower?
Mine was originally harvest gold, I changed the colour in 1987, in some respects I wish I hadn't done it now.
