Mini is finished at the panel beaters after a tidy up and respray.
Got to organise collection and then some finishing touches and a new heart.

Your cars looking nice, you don't see many cars in their original 70's bl colours anymore. Is that limeflower?
Mine was originally harvest gold, I changed the colour in 1987, in some respects I wish I hadn't done it now.
Thanks!

I'm really pleased with how it's come out. I was super keen to keep the original colour and as 'period' as possible. It had arch extensions on previously and I'm also really into the clean lines without arches.

I am not 100% sure. I tried extremely hard to find the correct code. I gave three best guesses and he matched to some immaculate original paint.

What started out as going to be a few weekends work removing radius arms to elongate the inner hole to get rid of rear toe out, clean and paint suspension components and clean and paint inner arches has turned into a considerably bigger project. Off to minispares for some repair panels now and plenty of time in the garage....not too bad for 45 years old I guess.

At least you've got a nice and tidy garage!

Even though its not a complicated repair the important objective now is to make sure you get a good bodyshop that likes classic cars.

Tried out my new polisher and G3, only did the back end but got rid of most of the orange peel on the boot lid :proud:  Still needs a bit of work in the hard to hard to get to bits.

it's with a decent bodyshop who know what they're doing, plus the gaffer there has mk2 :)
