Went and got some coal. Two 25kg bags fit in the boot and still room for the jack bag, glad it's not a Mitsuoka Viewt :proud:

Sits nice and low at the back too, might get some more :mrcool:

Did you fit the Speedo cable to the gearbox as you lowered it in?

I did it while the engine was still on the ground

Went for a burn up round the Wiltshire countryside, first of the year and got back before it rained!

Headlights look a bit foggy.

Got it back after it's been off the road for a year and a half having new floor pan, sills, heel board, sub frame and then finally a respray. Been a long time coming but have just finished refitting the interior, stereo. Very satisfying and forgot just how much fun these things are since I've been driving a diesel Fiesta since it's demise.

Started on the long road to restoration recently, 91 cooper spi.....VERY rotten due to webasto sunroof and poor upkeep. (Not my first mini, but its been years.)

Couple of things i have discovered.
1) I HATE bitumen paint, but brake cleaner does help get it off.

2) if you think you can get a panel off to re-use later, it probably needs an angle grinder.

3) they put spotwelds in the oddest of places.

I will get there.
