Here we go then folks :)

I've started producing some Grade 5 Titanium engine steadies, to replace the standard item on the RHS of the engine. These could also be used as lower gearbox steadies if used with the correct brackets.
They use high quality bronze/teflon liner rose joints for smooth operation and fit, 2 stainless locking nuts, and 4 aluminium spacers. They weigh in at about 136g each, which saves over 210g compared to the standard item, and are adjustable from 165-180mm. Standard lengths are 161 and 170mm between centers. Custom lengths can be made up to 40mm longer. Please bare in mind that no machines were used to produce these, they are all hand made, so quality varies slightly between each one.

These come in at £25 posted to the UK, on a made to order basis, due to the cost of the materials involved.

These look great!

I'd be interested in using these as steadies for down at the gearbox end. Are you able to provide the brackets aswell? I've been told that my MPi needs these but i'm dumb and don't know what brackets to get :)

to be honest I have no idea either! I may be able to make up some brackets in stainless or something, but I would have no idea what they are supposed to look like on an MPI :). My 998 had one of THESE. fitted if that helps?

The brackets seem to be relatively cheap either way. Sorry I can't help finding the right ones though, I'm not too clued up on Injection minis :)

Looks nice, but surely the vibrations will come straight through these into the car - it will effectively be solid mounted.

Nope, no bushes needed Monkey :) . And yes, it will effectively be solid mounted. The primary use for these was to save weight. I didn't feel a lot of difference vibrations wise, from a poly bushed standard steady.

Nope, unfortunately not. Didn't see the need for them, as the amount of movement in the rose joints will be next to none.
