so your loosing

* suspension = 2 points
* axles = 2 points
* transmission = 2 points
* steering assembly = 2 points
* engine = 1 point

and you keep 5 points for the body if you don't have to modify it to fit the subframe

looks like a Q plate and an IVA test is needed for your conversion :thumbsup:

http://www.16vminicl...isplay.php?f=24
also if u want to ask questions then post them here....
http://www.16vminicl...isplay.php?f=11
these guys will help u out...u'll have to register tho...hope this helps
as for the points system....don't always believe what u are always told and as for a Q plate it's *cow poo*
also have a look at this build diary.....he used a mgf subframe cut and narrowed the frame...kept his original REG NO...

if the modification was done before the rules came in, then it wont need an iva, the vehicle had already been modified before the rules came in, befoe you bought it, wasnt it :) ..... dont worry about it, as long as the conversions done properly itll be fine.

^^^^^ lol ^^^^^ now to answer the question you originally asked. i wouldnt have thought a 1.8vvc (from an mgf i presume?) would fit a metro subbie without modification, that is if the metro subbie will even fit the mini shell, personally id just "adapt" the mini subframe, that way you can save money by keeping the suspension setup the same (if your not going for coilovers), the brakes the same (hopefully youll uprate them though...) and keep the geometry correct.

What was the original Question again? Can't find it in all this off topic cow dung the someone keep leaveing all over this forum about IVA.
Any way as said above get over to 16vminiclub where people will actually help with the actual Questions asked!
I myself have a k series mini as do many others there.

the mgf subframe is just a metro subframe mounted into the rear of an mgf, Slightly different bolt on engine mountings.
As for fittment the k series frames are the easier conversion as there's less custom fabrication needed and I think would also be cheaper but you'll need larger wheels and an extended or clubman front end.

the K series metro wasn't made 27 years ago, you might have a job proving this conversion was done that far back :)
