Replaced the water pump, replaced the bypass hose, checked the other hoses, etc etc, new seal on the water pump, even used gasket sealant.

Found where the water is coming from, its the little hole in the side of the water pump where the pulley mounts on, presume its the hole that was afore mentioned...

The water is still coming out of there now, at a steady drip... can we bung the hole? whats it purpose?

Cheers

Adam

If there is still water coming out of this hole now the gasket is right, does that mean replace the water pump and it'll be ok?

No you can't (bung it up that is).

On very early water pumps with re-buildable bearings that hole had a nipple type thing fitted and was there for oiling the pump. On later pumps, like yours it's there to tell you when the bearings are failing and letting water through so that you know when to buy a new pump.

So now you need to buy a new pump, sorry.
