so its not worth it then>> do they not increase stopping power? surely they would do?? green stuff pads are ace, my mate had 'em on his uno turbo, stopped like the b*ll*cks!!
so u reckon std discs with black stuff pads?, but the grooved ones look so cool!!
i need new discs anyway?

agree with GW on this, ive always used mintex with no probs, the grooved disc's might look cool but how often you intend to look at them, you cant see em when your driving (unless you got rusty inner arches

i havnt used them so i cant really comment. i do know though that i used to always get brake fade when properly going for it with my 8.4 standard set-up so an upgrade cant do anyharm especially if it helps the disks cool!

Go with the grooved disks, I use them with Green stuff pads. I changed both at the same time though so cant say if the disks helped entirely. Felt a huge improvement as a whole.
They certainly wont make your braking any worse so for the sake of a few quid you dont have much to lose.

:wales: I used grooved disks and green stuff pads on my turbo'd mini, don't bother your bum mate. Green stuff pads are rank, changed for mintex pads and the stopping power was excellent

Yea, I've heard alot of the same, green stuff ain't much use for road, Mintex being a lot better.

to be honest the green stuff pads are only any use if you have a heavier car, they do like to be warmed up a bit.

mixed thoughts then boys and girls, there fitted now and i pick the car up tomorrow, the grooved discs will help anyway, and as for the pads, if there ******* after a few months of using em ill swap 'em for mintex!

They won't be C**p, and i suspect a definite improvement over standard pads, plus you get the added benifit of a lot less brake dust covering your wheels becuase they are Kevlar. But quite a few people have better performance from the Mintex pads.
