rear bench

just wanted to know if i can cut some holes in the rear bench iwould strengthen it. but i would like to know what is underneath thier.

what directly underneth. i just got more storage space. i think it's just one bit of metal. although neraer the back of the car you maught have problems

I'm not sure I understand what area you're talking about. If you still have a back seat in your car I assume you're talking about the rear parcel shelf... the horizontal surface just below the back glass. If that's what you mean, yes, you can cut holes in that and it's commonly done for speakers.

If you have no back seat and you could be talking about cutting holes where the bottom cushion used to be. You could cut holes there but they won't be of much use since the subframe will be right under that surface.
