If I use:
High Beams: ~5.5A
Rad Fan: 4.5A
Oil cooler fan: 2.5A
Total: 12.5A
...I only get 0.5 excess voltage from the regulator output to charge the battery at engine idle. I get around 13V when off idle with this load.
going by the in-car ammeter, mines just under 14 amps

just a quick question mart, doesnt it struggle at all when youve got the lights on, heater on, and all that fancy in car entertainment you have?

all seems fine, not like I've tested it in any way, but never had a problem

5PW ECU, Aim Mychron Digidash, ignition dummy light, Power Commander: 1A
Fuel pump (very low duty cycle, so not added to total below: 6A
rad fan + aux oil cooler fan: 8A
High Beams: 9A
Steady State total: 18A
...and I checked the 0.5V excess at idle to charge the battery - that was correct, so the load handling on my 5PW stock generator system appears to be closer to 20A or so...
Thats about the same as mine...depending on how cool the regulator is and what the RPM of the engine is.
