I think my dash is very one off. Similar to pookys with the speakers etc. But my clocks are central!

I've had an idea, which i can't afford (happens all the time) anyone seen the new corvette? it has a hud display (image displayed on windscreen) how cool would that be in a mini!!! I'm not sure if it would work tho, the mini's windscreen is very different.

yeah thats nice, i like gauges! how does it secure? i was going to put tweeters in, instead of my air vents but then i wouldn't get the left hand bracket in to secure it.

they are 40w mid range.
the dash fastens on with nuts and bolts, the nuts are secured into the wood and a plate to grip the top rail and bottom rail is then slid over the bolt. the bolts can be put in any place you want so that they dont get in the way of whatever your fitting.
after the bolts have been fitted the wood is then covered in veneer to suit whatever you want. i will be taking it out soon to do some work on it so if anyone wants some pic`s of how it is fitted i will post some

yeah, i was wondering how you will get the bolts fastened when the speakers are in position?
and another question, most mini dashes have a raised area for the 3 clocks (speed, temp/fuel, revs) have you altered the position of your clocks to get the dash flush?
I ask because im thinking of making one out of MDF (and some kind of covering) this week.

this my dash. i originally bought it from huddersfield spares but wasnt to keen on it (was brushed ali) so i covered it with black leatherette and its came out a treat. i blancked the glovebox out because i dont use it.
