How style has changed! Very good to see old stuff like this even just for a laugh at what was cool back then.
I wonder if people will look back and laugh at us in 20 years time!

I do like that one in particular. Really liking what the owner has done with the bumper and numberplate, very original. The deseaming is also very smart the way the body seam merges to the gutter going backwards. Is there another light above the indicator or is that something else? Whats the badge on the grille also?

I seem to remember it was free entry in a Mini but 25p for the programme............scan of the cover attached.

Customising (that's what we used to call it) in the '70's was such a laugh. People would try anything to get noticed. Can wait for the next installment.

PS I think the owner of 526 SYB is currently restoring it to its former glory. If anyone saw the flip bodied blue Mini at IMM or Mini United there were some pictures of the car on display.

The guy who owns this one works with my dad, his brother also has one, in orange.

These pictures are of the Mini Autocross circuit they set up at Donnington for the Mini 20th party, I have the details of the drivers, etc in the programme so will post the details up when I get home later.
There was also Mini 7 and Miglia racing on the day but I remember they had some problems stopping the watching crowds wandering onto the circuit and spectators standing the wrong side of the barriers during the racing, as it was not a normal organised race meeting only!
