Hi,

This is my 998 City E which i unfortunately might have to sell as i'm moving out from home and have nowhere to store it and can't use it :D.

I've owned this car for over a year and this is the spec:

- 998cc metro engine with stage 1 kit (lcb manifold, torque master inlet and side exit rc40) which was tuned by ron harper on his rolling road.
- 88,000 miles on clock.
- 3 binnacle smiths clocks.
- Clear rear lenses.
- 7 months MOT and 1 months tax (i can't retax it as it's not insured but i will help with retaxing the car).
- 2 front spots.
- Lots of spares to go with the car (several points and condensers and stuff like that in the garage).

It had a full restoration 2 years ago by the gentlemen who i bought it off (i have photos to prove this).

Here's some pictures of the car:

This is the car as it stands now without the chrome arches on:

The are the little bodywork niggles that it has:

If i can get these niggles sorted (which i should be able to as my dad is buying a compressor soon, i was thinking about asking around the £2000 mark. I thought this was a reasonable amount of this condition and car type.

What do you reackon?

Thanks in advance for any comments,

Andrew

Cheers. Yeh it's a shame but i can't use the garage at home and there's nowhere round here where i can store it. Plus i won't get much use out of it whilst i'm away as i'm in doncaster.

Oh right not good :D I would think it's worth between £1400 and £1800. Hope it helps.

That low? I thought it would be worth more than that.

Its a tough market out there!!

If you fix the body issues then you could advertise at £1850 and then accept £1600.

It all depends how much you need to sell really, if you can wait for a buyer then you could get what you want.

I think with the little body niggles sorted it would be £1995 but be prepared to accept an offer.

I sold a completely standard 1990 City with 12 months MOT and all bodywork sorted and struggled to get £1350 for it. It was white though.
This was only a couple months ago.

Struggled to get much over £1100 for a mini rio 1275cc with tax and test (6months). Selling locally in the north east doesnt get that much interest when you compare it to the ones down south and the amount of buyers down the south.

Hmmm, not looking promising. I'll advertise it and see what interest i get. Might end up on ebay if it doesn't get enough interest.

Never thought about that really, I regularly advertise similar cars for £1995 down here & get a good amount of interest. It's often kids wanting it as a first car.
