And yes, technically they don't fit over the brakes. Those wheels are rather beside the calipers...
And as had been said, they have a huuuge negative offset and require very large wheel arch extensions to cover them (like Sportspack arches)! IMO those huge arches long a bit wrong with such tiny wheels... But that's down to personal taste, I guess...
And don't confuse those wheels with the 'real' alloy replicas of the 'S' wheels! These do NOT fit 'over' the large brake!

....unless you have genuine cosmic spacers wich allows you to (i guess thats cheating tho ) My particular wheels are 4.5's off a '66 cooper sAnd don't confuse those wheels with the 'real' alloy replicas of the 'S' wheels! These do NOT fit 'over' the large brake!

That's the same principle; adding a s#!+t load of negative offset to make the wheels sit beside the calipers The only difference is, that the ugly wheels allready come with a very negative offset And that saves you adding insanely thick spacers
There are a few wheels that fit over the 8.4" brake, but all require decreased resp. negative offset which is - as you showed - achievable with adding spacers.
But we all know: negative offset is a no no on a Mini! Google for 'scrub radius' Which is one of the most basic, most important measurements for a good suspension geometry
What are these 'genuine cosmic spacers' you talk about?
Those are the spacers with the extension nuts, this type of spacer: http://cgi.ebay.co.u...6#ht_1804wt_942

Not too sure about running them on the front with all that 998cc powah and steering going through them!

Surprised anyone still sells these.....................they were dangerous back in the 1970's on standard 850cc Minis.

yup wouldn't touch the screw on extension type, scary!!
have to you use the extended studs with spacers.

as others have said, its more 'next to' than 'over' but they fit. might spacer them a few mm to be safe, more of a shim really.

ive got group 2 arches and ive had to fit spacers to fill them so that needing big arches is a bit far of the mark
no spacers and no arches
tiny group 2 arches and spacers to fiull them

After some racing failures, front wheel spacers were banned for motor-sport a long time ago.
To repeat - YOU DO NOT WANT FRONT WHEEL SPACERS!! The screw up the steering geometry and are basically unsafe.
If you want 10" wheels, fit the 7.5" discs and callipers. If you can't afford to do this, then stick with 12" wheels.
